Coloured Canyon / Nuweiba - Sharm El Sheikh Travel Pictures

We enjoyed the day-trip to Coloured Canyon - we saw some of the beauty of the desert and the mountains of the Sinai up close. The canyon itself is quite narrow at points and we were lucky that there weren't many visitors at the canyon. I'd heard from another group that waiting for their line to trickle through wasn't very enjoyable. Afterwards, you're normally taken to a beachside restaurant in Nuweiba for lunch (don't expect too much - it's included in the package tour) and the last stop is to let you spend some time in the resort of Dahab.
All sorts of creative rock formations can be seen around the Coloured Canyon

The
Coloured Canyon is mostly a dried out riverbed cut through the rock. The
trek starts at about 770m above sea level and descends to about 570m

wonder how overweight people would pass it.
